Who are we?

Action for Stammering Children is the UK charity for children and young people who stammer, their families and the communities supporting them.

We want a world where having a stammer has no impact on your ambitions. But for the 8% of children in the UK who have a stammer, it can have a very real effect on their current and long-term mental, emotional and social well-being.

Everyday tasks that many of us take for granted – things like answering a question, talking with friends, ordering or saying your own name – can bring with them feelings of stress, frustration, anxiety, and embarrassment.

This has to change.

What's happening?

To mark International Stammering Awareness Day (ISAD) this October, our supporters are flying the flag for stammering - quite literally!

Inspired by the courage of the young people we work with and to celebrate ISAD this year, ASC Stambassador, Justice, is leading a group of our supporters in a collective ISAD skydive.

On 18th October, the ASC community will come together to witness our brave volunteers jump 13,000 feet to raise awareness about childhood stammering and support the work of Action for Stammering Children.

What's more, thanks to a very generous supporter, every donation received will be MATCHED pound for pound

As the UK charity for children who stammer, their families and the communities who support them, we work to ensure that every child who stammers has the support, respect and confidence to live the life they want to lead.

Will you show your support of Justice and his skydiving team this International Stammering Awareness Day?
